Parker’s 3rd Birthday

parker3rd.jpgParker celebrated his 3rd birthday with some family and friends.  We had a good time.  My family couldn’t make it for various reasons.  It’s tough living away from family, but that makes it all the sweeter when we can be together.  Parker, of course, got more stuff than any one child needs.  He won’t play with everything for weeks.  Check out the pictures page to see the party pictures.  I just have to say that the cake was really good, we are still eating on it, and hopefully, will be for sometime.  I can’t believe he is three, well, except for the way he acts sometimes…  Other than that, I can’t believe he is already three.  He’ll be in school in just 2 all too short years.  He and I are both getting old fast.

On another note, I hope you enjoy the new site design…  It has been a few weeks in the making.  I’m sure I’ll have little quirks to work out in the coming weeks, but I’m very happy with the way it has turned out.  I have a few things left to tweak graphicly, but the bones are in good shape.  So enjoy!

Lunar Eclipse

lunareclipse.jpgI had a cold but fun night a few days ago.  I decided to try to get some good pictures of the lunar eclipse.  It took me awhile to get my settings figured out, but I think I manage to gather some pretty respectable shots.  Here is one of my best.  This was towards the middle of the eclipse, just about 20 minutes from the full eclipse.  It was pretty neat to watch.  I had never really paid much attention to lunar eclipses, but appearantly they happen fairly frequently.  I looked it up and the next and only total solar eclipse that will visible from Tennessee happens in 2017 and will be visiable for 2 minutes.  That will be cool.  Mark it on your calendars!  Anyway, just sharing a shot.  Enjoy.

The Boys

parkercarsonweb.jpgWe just got the boys 3 year and 2 month pictures back today.  They turned out so well.  You can take a look on the pictures page.  We had a great night tonight.  Kayce and I had our first small group meeting with our new group at Grace Community Church.  We had a great time getting to know the folks we are going to be meeting with for the next year and a half.  Kayce may be out of school tomorrow (she will probably blame me for jinxing it by typing this if they aren’t), it has started to sleet and snow alittle.  We’ll see.  Parker has his first Valentines Party tomorrow at preschool.  He picked out what Valentines he was giving to whom, and then signed his “P” to most of them.  His hand got tired so he asked if he could stop after about 5.

I recorded the Clarksville Academy Middle School choir today.  The high schoolers are coming next week.  Each spring they have a concert, and to boost their confidence (and volume), Debbie (who also works part time at FBC doing Student Choir), brings them over to record.  It is kind of fun, and I get paid alittle.  I record them, then put their voices to the tracks, and split it so they add or take away the voices during the concert (by panning Left or Right).

Anyway.  Nothing too exciting going on here in Clarksville…  Just the same old, same old.  Have a great rest of the week.

Great Saturday for Flying…

picturesscreen.jpgToday was very good day.  The boys had their 3 year, and 2 month pictures taken.  They also took some pictures together.  You can see to the left the picture I took of the screen with my phone at the Photo Studio.  The pictures won’t be back for a few weeks and they don’t give our proofs, so this was the best I could do to show what great pictures they took.  They both did great.  Afterward as a reward for doing so well, Parker got a toy car, Carson got to eat, and I got an RC airplane (one of the cheap-o kind).  We took to it Dunbar Cave Park to fly it but it was so light the wind almost took it right into the lake, so we moved to The Fairgrounds.  I thought with the wide open fields we would have better luck, but the wind again carried it toward a body of water, the Cumberland River…  So we moved alittle farther away from the water, a few 100 yards that is.  Once we were far from water we had a ball.  The best pilot turned out to be Parker, of course.  He flew the farthest and longest.  I got the most points for crashing into myself, and Kayce had the closest encounter with a moving car.  All in all, a great day.  I can’t wait for the boys pictures to come back, be sure to check back, they turned out so great we ended up ordering just about all of them.  I hope everyone has a great Sunday!  Be sure to check the video and pictures sections, I just uploaded some new stuff, enjoy.
